Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) is reportedly close to finalizing an order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for 10 B787-8s that would allow the fast growing Indonesian carrier to serve more long-haul destinations other than Jeddah International and Madinah currently served from Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta with its two B747-400s. Batik Air (ID, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) will be the name of the new full service carrier launched by Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) with 10 B737-800s next year according to a new report by the Jakarta Post newspaper. The carrier was previously expected to be called Space Air (Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta).
