Hong Kong Airlines (HX, Hong Kong International) has been banned by the civil aviation department of Hong Kong from adding additional new aircraft types to its AOC. According to a report by news agency AFP, the CAD has told Hong Kong Airlines it needs to first consolidate its existing operations before being allowed to expand to additional aircraft types again. It currently operates three A320-200s, nine A330-200s, four A330-200Fs, four B737-800s and four B737-300(F)s but also has A330-300s, A350-900s, A380-800s and B777Fs on order.
