Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) CFO Howard Millar has said that the Irish low-cost carrier would be interested in participating in a joint bid with other partners to acquire London Stansted airport from BAA with Millar envisaging Ryanair taking a stake of up to 25%. BAA needs to sell the airport after it has lost another appeal against a competition ruling that BAA should not be allowed to own two London airports. It previously had already been forced to sell London Gatwick and now just owns London Heathrow and Stansted.
