airphilexpress (Manila Ninoy Aquino International) is expected to receive some of the A330-300s recently ordered by parent Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) according to a report by CAPA allowing the carrier group to compete better with low-cost carriers Cebu Pacific Air (5J, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) and Zest Air (Manila Ninoy Aquino International) which both also have long-haul ambitions. The A330-300s allocated to the low-cost carrier subsidiary will be operated in a single class configuration targeting the labour travel market between the Philippines and the Middle East from as early as next year.
