Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa International) has been invited by the government of Uganda to join plans to revive failed national carrier Uganda Airlines (1976) (Entebbe) that had gone out of business back in 2001. Ethiopian is currently evaluating options for additional African joint ventures that would allow the carrier to establish more secondary hubs similar to the operation at Lomé with ASKY Airlines (KP, Lomé) in which Ethiopian owns a 40% stake.
