Air India (AI, Delhi International) has given up plans to sell some of its B777-200LR aircraft as no bidders have emerged for its official tender started in October. Air India now plans to reconfigure at least two of eight B777-200LRs in full Economy Class configuration to replace the four B747-400 currently used on routes between India and Saudi-Arabia and on charter services.
