Air India (AI, Delhi International) has accrued over INR10 million Indian rupees (USD111,000) in fees and parking charges related to the forgotten and recently rediscovered B737-200(F), VT-EHH (msn 22863), stored in Kolkata since 2012. The 43.3-year-old aircraft has already been auctioned off and transported via land, as it was no longer airworthy, albeit having its Pratt & Whitney PW JT8D engines still attached. It will be used for maintenance training.

The aircraft was lost in Air India's records and ledgers pre-privatisation, said chief executive Campbell Wilson, who told staff in an internal memo that “we didn't even know we owned it.”
