Lion Air (JT, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) has already placed or is about to place an order for a total of 200 A320neo family aircraft according to Agence France-Presse. The largest Indonesian carrier currently operates two B737-300s, six B737-400s, 12 B737-800s, 67 B737-900s and two B747-400s. It has outstanding orders for eight additional B737-800s, 120 B737-900(ER)s and 201 B737 MAX9s that it plans to use in Indonesia and for its new subsidiary Malindo Air (Kuala Lumpur International) in Malaysia due to launch operations later this year.
