Thai Airways International (TG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) is set to sign a 50-year lease agreement with the country's Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office by January 2026 for a 33.6-hectare site at Utapao. The site will be developed into an MRO facility with six hangars to be built in two phases, costing about THB10 billion Thai baht (USD307.7 billion). The Thai flag carrier, which recently incorporated two MRO companies, will sublease 4.8 hectares to Bangkok Airways (PG, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi) for its own MRO operations.
