The Syrian General Authority of Civil Aviation has closed Aleppo to all air traffic due to renewed fighting between the government and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the region. The country's second-largest gateway after Damascus was shut on January 6 and is currently scheduled to reopen on January 10 at 0000L (January 9, 2100Z). Flights have been diverted to Damascus, currently the only active commercial airport in Syria.
