Ireland’s Department of Transport has issued a new tender for the Dublin International-Donegal public service obligation (PSO) route ahead of the current contract’s expiration on February 25, 2026. The four-year public tender is valued at EUR17 million euros (USD20 million).
The 2x daily PSO route has been operated by Emerald Airlines (Ireland) under the Aer Lingus Regional brand with ATR72-600s since February 2022. Emerald's contract was extended by one year in November 2024. The PSO was previously held by Amapola Flyg from July 2021, which temporarily operated the route following the collapse of Stobart Air.
