PIA - Pakistan International Airlines (PK, Islamabad International) is considering moving the transit stop of its three times weekly B777-200LR service from Karachi International via London Heathrow to New York JFK from Manchester to Shannon according to a report by the Clare Herald. PIA is currently not allowed by the US authorities to operate non-stop from Pakistan to the United States and needs to stop in a third country on its outbound flights to New York. These flights currently stop in Manchester.
