Air India (AI, Delhi International) plans to shortly issue a request for proposals for the replacement of the regional fleet of its subsidiary Alliance Air (India) (9I, Delhi International). Air India's fully owned regional carrier currently operates seven ATR 42-300s and two CRJ700s while two additional CRJ-700s are currently in storage at Delhi International. Alliance Air plans to replace at least some of the aircraft with ATR 72s, CRJ-700s or DHC-8-400s and to increase its regional fleet to 15 aircraft.
