JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) is considering replacing some of its older B777-200s and B777-300s by 20 new A350-1000s according to a news report by Nikkei in Japan. This would be JAL’s first order with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) as the carrier has so far only operated Boeing (BOE, Washington National) aircraft with Nikkei speculating that the grounding of B787-8s worldwide would have impacted JAL’s decision.
