Air India (AI, Delhi International) is set to resume daily flights between Delhi International and Dharamsala effective May 15, Indian Urban Development Minister, Sudhir Sharma, has said. Situated in northern India near picturesque Jammu & Kashmir, the tourism-dependent state of Himachal Pradesh had bemoaned the lack of dedicated air services to India's major airports after Air India suspended flights last year in July. The situation worsened when in September 2012, Kingfisher Airlines (Mumbai International) also axed Kullu and Shimla in addition to Dharamsala, effectively starving the region of much needed clientèle.
