Libyan Airlines (LN, Tripoli Mitiga) took delivery of its first A330-200, 5N-LAS (c/n 1424), at a ceremony held at Tripoli International on June 27. Originally, 5A-LAR (c/n 1412) was planned to have been delivered first, but will now follow in the coming months. The order is part of a larger deal with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for four of the machines of which the last two are due in Libya in May 2014.Powered by GE CF6-80 engines, the A330 and will be deployed to the Middle East, Dubai International and Jeddah International, as well as on Asian and European trunk routes.
