Wizz Air Ukraine (Kyiv Igor Sikorsky) plans to base an A320-200 at Lviv as part of plans to increase passenger traffic by 200'000 pax/annum. To this end, the head of the regional government has said he will press the Ukrainian Ministry of Infrastructure to expedite the necessary paperwork for the launch of Lvov - Tel Aviv Ben Gurion flights. The Ukrainian carrier is also said to be eyeing flights from Lvov to Russia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan. Wizz Air currently already serves Dortmund, Milan Bergamo and Venice Treviso from Lvov.
