Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) does not expect to receive regulatory approvals to start selling all business class seats on its newly delivered B787-9 until April 2026, Lufthansa Group chief executive Carsten Spohr said at an internal meeting. The airline is still awaiting the full FAA certification of its new Allegris seats. So far, four of the 28 business class seats can be sold, as they are in a slightly different configuration and have already been certified. Lufthansa currently operates ten B787-9s, but only five with the new Allegris interiors (the other five are whitetails picked up after Hainan Airlines did not take them).
