Lufthansa Cargo (LH, Frankfurt International) has postponed the delivery of its first of five B777Fs, D-ALFA (msn 41674), after an anomaly with the aircraft's slats was discovered during the handover ceremony from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) earlier in the week. The freighter was expected in Germany on November 1. "There's a very small gap between the slats and this is bigger than permitted by manufacturing tolerance," a Lufthansa spokesman told Reuters. The freight specialist says it does not expect the delay to last more than "a couple of days."
