China Airlines (CI, Taipei Taoyuan) has signed lease agreements with the Air Lease Corporation for three new B737-800 aircraft. According to the terms of the agreements, the aircraft are scheduled for delivery in 2015 and 2016.
"China Airlines is very pleased to conclude its first transaction with ALC," said Huang-Hsiang Sun, Chairman of China Airlines. "The addition of these new 737-800s will further strengthen our competitiveness in the regional service and enhance our overall product offering."
The Taiwanese carrier operates fourteen B737-800s on domestic as well as regional flights to China, Hong Kong, Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore.
