KLM Cityhopper (WA, Amsterdam Schiphol) will lease "at least" four more E190s as an interim replacement for its outgoing fleet of Fokker 70s Dutch aviation portal, Luchtvaartnieuws, has reported. The site says the Embraer twinjets will be used to replace the four oldest Fokker Aircraft airframes still in service with the Dutch operator.

A firm decision on the type's replacement, due to have been made late last year, has now been deferred until later this quarter. Among the manufacturers considered included Embraer, Bombardier Aerospace, ATR - Avions de Transport Régional, and Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation.
