Kuwait Airways (KU, Kuwait) will deploy its first A330-200, 9K-APA (cn 1626), into revenue service on May 21 as flight KU165 Kuwait-Rome Fiumicino-Paris CDG-Kuwait. Other A330 destinations include: Chennai, Frankfurt International, Geneva, and London Heathrow.
The widebody twinjet is part of group of five the carrier will lease from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) alongside seven A320-200s. The twelve aircraft will help tide Kuwait Airways over while it awaits delivery of its new fleet of ten A350-900s, fifteen A320neos and ten B777-300ERs.
