Air Berlin (1991) (Berlin Tegel) will terminate its Russian services during the course of next year. The Moscow Times reports the German carrier will end its Moscow Domodedovo operations with effect from January 16. The Russian capital is served from Düsseldorf, Berlin Tegel, and Munich. Air Berlin also serves the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad from Berlin Tegel.

Foreign carriers such as easyJet (London Luton) and Lufthansa (LH, Frankfurt International) have announced similar measures citing a slump in demand brought on by Russia's economic woes.
