Prospective investors, keen on acquiring a shareholding in Air Méditerranée (Lourdes/Tarbes), submitted their respective proposals to the Commercial Court of Tarbes in France this past week.

France's Tourmag reports that among the bids was one from Ali Haddad, an Algerian national who heads an Algerian construction conglomerate - ETRHB Haddad. As a non-European national, Haddad may acquire up to 49% in the airline. However, Air Méditerranée's workers' committee has questioned the proposal claiming it to be "incomplete".

The airline was placed into receivership in January of this year and has been looking for a buyer to help return the carrier to sustainability while guaranteeing the jobs of its workforce.

While the deadline to find said partner has been extended to January of 2016, it is claimed airline management hopes to finalize a deal by as early as this month.
