JTA - Japan Transocean Air (NU, Okinawa Naha) took delivery of its first of twelve B737-800s on order from Boeing (BOE, Washington National) on Sunday, January 24.
JA-01RK (mssn 61475) is scheduled to make its commercial debut on double-daily Okinawa Naha-Fukuoka and Okinawa Naha-Miyakojima flights effective February 10, 2016.
The B737-800s will gradually replace the JAL - Japan Airlines (JL, Tokyo Haneda) subsidiary's existing fleet of twelve B737-400s.
