SalamAir (OV, Muscat) is now planning to commence operations during the third week of December Khalid bin Hilal Al Yahmadi, Chief Executive Officer of Salam Air's parent, the Muscat National Development and Investment Company (ASAAS), has said.

Speaking via social media, Al Yahmadi said the LCC's initial route would be Salalah-Muscat. Operations will presumably be on-board B737 equipment as previously reported. Three aircraft have thus far been sourced.

A formal unveiling of Salam Air's brand identity and logo will be held later this month.
