RwandAir (WB, Kigali) is studying the A350-900 as a possible vehicle to serve North America maverick Chief Executive Officer (CEO) John Mirenge has said.
Speaking to AIN Online during the delivery ceremony of its maiden widebody last week, Mirenge said the type could be used to open up flights to New York JFK.
He added that the carrier's A330-200, 9XR-WN (cn 1741), would be used to serve Dubai International later this month before being deployed onto longhaul routes to Mumbai International, Guangzhou, London, and Paris CDG.
RwandAir's first A330-300, 9XR-WP (cn 1759), is scheduled to arrive in Central Africa in November.
