SalamAir (OV, Muscat) has further revised its operational plans with its main hub now set to be Muscat as opposed to Salalah as previously announced.
During a brand unveiling ceremony in Muscat this week, Mohammed bin Nasser al Zaabi, the Director General of the Omani Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA), said despite the change, the LCC would develop Salalah into a secondary base within the next three years.
Salam Air will launch in late-December with 4x daily flights between the two cities. Thereafter, assuming all bilateral service rights have been secured, Salam Air will serve Dubai International, Jeddah International, Khartoum and possibly India and East Africa in the short- to medium-term. Operations are on-board a trio of leased A320-200s.
