Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) has taken delivery of its first B737-8 from Boeing (BOE, Washington National). Following a handing over ceremony at Everett on Friday, November 3, B-1397 (msn 60872) was ferried to Beijing Capital, China where it is scheduled to arrive on Tuesday, November 7.

According to ch-aviation analysis of schedule data, its first revenue flight is slated for November 11, as a daily return service between Beijing Capital and Urumqi.

The carrier is an existing operator of the B737 Family of jets operating twenty-one B737-700s and 119 B737-800s.
