Air China (CA, Beijing Capital) and Rolls-Royce have completed construction of Beijing Aero Engine Services (BAESL) in Beijing Capital, their 50/50 MRO joint venture. Following a 2023 groundbreaking, the CNY2.2 billion Chinese yuan (USD315.4 million) facility will induct its first engine in December 2025, with full operations launching in early 2026.
BAESL will maintain Trent 700, Trent XWB-84, and Trent 1000 engines, to support Air China's widebody fleet and reduce reliance on overseas overhaul centres.
As Rolls-Royce's fourth global MRO JV and first in mainland China, the site targets 250 annual shop visits by the mid-2030s.
