Pegasus Airlines (PC, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) has agreed to set-up a joint-venture with the government of Kyrgyzstan to set up a new airline, Kyrgyz Pegasus Airlines (Bishkek), that is expected to start operations in 2010 with one B737-500 and two B737-800s operated by Pegasus Airlines. Pegasus will hold a 49% stake in KPA with the majority stake being held by Kyrgyzstan Air Company (QH/Bishkek). The new carrier is reportedly planning to serve Astana, Dubai, Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen, Moscow and Seoul Incheon. Pegasus has launched weekly B737-800 service from Antalya to Nuremberg earlier this winter season (replacing the route from Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen) and has announced new UK routes for the upcoming summer timetable: Antalya-Birmingham: weekly seasonal B737-800 service starting on May 2 Antalya-Manchester: weekly seasonal B737-800 service starting on May 2 Dalaman-London Gatwick: 3x weekly seasonal B737-800 service starting on May 3 Dalaman-Manchester: 2x weekly seasonal B737-800 service starting on May 3 Istanbul Sabiha Gökcen-Tehran Imam Khomeini: 2x weekly B737-800 starting on January 22
