Icelandair (FI, Reykjavik Keflavik) has received new investment of over 25 million EUR from Icelandic investment and pension funds allowing it to continue its financial restructuring plan. It has leased a second B767-300ER from Amiri Flight (MO/Abu Dhabi Intl) and will sublease the aircraft to Air Niugini (PX/Port Moresby) shortly. Icelandair has again wet-leased its other B767-300ER to SBA Airlines (S3/Maracaibo). It has also added its 20th B757-200, an ex-Titan Airways (ZT/London Stansted) aircraft but is planning to order some smaller A320-200s or B737-800s for niche markets. Icelandair has started codesharing with Alaska Airlines (AS/Seattle/Tacoma) on US domestic services from Seattle/Tacoma to Los Angeles and San Francisco.
