Cirrus Airlines (Saarbrücken) could potentially resume operations later this year if a plan put forward by OLT Express Germany (Bremen Hans Koschnick) owner Amber Gold is accepted by the administrators. Amber Gold is reportedly planning to take over the insolvent German regional carrier and to resume domestic regional operations in Germany with one of the airlines' Do328-100s as well as three E190s. The new owners would lay off 100 of the remaining Cirrus employees, mainly Do328 flight crews and then resume operations from Saarbrücken. Cirrus had no longer served Saarbrücken itself since 2007.
