Embraer (EMB, São José dos Campos Professor Urbano Ernesto Stumpf) has added fifteen E195-E2s to its order book. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer confirmed on January 16 the order had been placed by an undisclosed customer and that it would be added to its Q4 2022 backlog.

Excluding this latest order, Embraer has taken orders for 201 of the aircraft type from nine customers. including AerCap, Air Peace, Aircastle, Azorra Aviation, Azul Linhas Aéreas Brasileiras, Binter Canarias, Helvetic Airways, Porter Airlines, and ICBC Financial Leasing. Thus far, Embraer has delivered 38 of the planes to six customers, with only one - Helvetic Airways, having its order finalised.

Across the aircraft types under production at Embraer, the current order backlog stands at 312 planes, including 100 E175-E2s due to Republic Airlines and fifty-one E195-E2s due to Azul. A Reuters report cites a JPMorgan analyst saying the investment bank thinks the order backlog at Embraer could soon hit USD20.9 billion, with the most recent order supporting the bank's decision to put an ‘overweight’ rating on the aircraft manufacturer.
