KlasJet (KLJ, Vilnius) has taken delivery of its first B737-800, immediately deploying it on a wet-lease contract to FlyEgypt.

LY-PMI (msn 28241) was formerly operated by Ukraine International Airlines through February 2022. The 21.9-year-old aircraft was placed in storage at Castellón de la Plana Costa Azahar and subsequently ferried to Glasgow Prestwick under a temporary Lithuanian registration. It was brought out of storage on March 17, when it ferried to Hurghada ahead of the FlyEgypt ACMI contract, already under the current registration. It operated the first revenue flight to Katowice Pyrzowice on March 23.

The aircraft remains in a livery of UIA with the titles and logos removed. It is owned by Carlyle Aviation Partners.

KlasJet, which belongs to Avia Solutions Group, plans to add fifteen B737-800 to expand into the passenger ACMI business. Recently, the airline said it had secured the first eight leases. KlasJet did not respond to ch-aviation's question about the duration of the wet-lease contract with FlyEgypt and the number of aircraft it would operate on its behalf.

The ch-aviation fleets module shows that KlasJet also operates two B737-300s, three B737-500s, and one CRJ200s. These aircraft operate passenger charters and short-term ACMI contracts.
