Icelandair (FI, Reykjavik Keflavik) has announced that it has agreed with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to place an order for a total of 12 B737 MAX aircraft. The deal that has yet to be finalized is expected to include 8 B737 MAX 8s and 4 B737 MAX 9s. The new fourth generation of B737 aircraft equipped with more fuel efficient CFM LEAP-1B engines is expected to be delivered to first airlines from 2017.
