RwandAir (WB, Kigali) CEO John Mirenge has announced that the carrier would plan to replace its two B737-500s leased from US lessor GECAS by two larger B737-700s leased from ILFC later this year with the two B737-500s expected to be returned to GECAS by June. RwandAir currently operates a pair of B737-800s already and will then have a Boeing B737NG fleet of four aircraft.
