Aer Arann Regional (Dublin International) took delivery of its first brand new ATR 72-600 EI-FAS (c/n 1083) at a ceremony held in at the ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) facility in Toulouse Blagnac on April 29. The plane is the first of eight ATR 72-600s ordered by Aer Arann in a contract valued at almost EUR 144million. The seven remaining aircraft, which all form part of the operator's fleet renewal plans, are scheduled to be delivered over the next 11 months and will be deployed onto regional operations on behalf of Aer Lingus (EI, Dublin International). Interim chief executive Sean Brogan said that the investment in new aircraft with ATR will support the company’s ambitious growth plans.
