Air Canada (AC, Montréal Trudeau) is to place an order for an undisclosed number of A320neo and A321neo aircraft from Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac). FlightGlobal says the order is contingent on Air Canada board approval, likely due on December 11. The new fleet of twinjets will be used to replace the Canadian carrier's current fleet of forty-one A320-200s and ten A321-200s. A further order for replacements for its fleet of E190s is expected at some stage in the near future.
