RusLine (7R, Moscow Vnukovo) General Director Dmitry Eshtokin says his airline is looking to become a feeder carrier for Oneworld member S7 Airlines (S7, Novosibirsk). Speaking to Russia's Kommersant, Eshtokin said once Rusline's safety and quality assurance standards had been assessed, a preliminary cooperation agreement with S7 would be signed. A result is expected before month-end.
Rusline operates five CRJ100s, nineteen CRJ200s, and two E120s on scheduled and charter flights throughout Russia as well as to Aktobe in Kazakhstan and Simferopol. Plans to acquire an additional three CRJ-200s have reportedly fallen through after the carrier was unable to secure the necessary state subsidies needed to operate them. For its part, S7 operates an extensive international network linking various major Russian metropolises with each other as well as with the CIS, Europe, and Asia.
