Braathens Regional (Trollhättan) has signed a firm order agreement with ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) for the purchase of five ATR72-600s and ten options. Deliveries will commence at the end of 2015.
The new aircraft, which will replace the carrier's ageing fleet of twelve Saab 2000s, are to be based out of Stockholm Bromma for use on flights throughout Sweden.
The Malmö Aviation (Malmö) subsidiary is an existing operator of ATR machinery employing five ATR72-500s three of which are in service for Kullaflyg (Angelholm/Helsingborg) while the other two operate for Gotlandsflyg (Visby).
