SkyEurope Airlines (Bratislava) has announced a new network strategy that includes the closure of its bases in Budapest and Krakow by the end of next month. It will start to use of its Prague and Vienna bases as hubs offering connections throughout its network. It will launch several additional new routes: Bratislava-Birmingham: 3x weekly B737-700 service starting on October 30 Bratislava-Cork: 3x weekly B737-700 service starting on October 30 Bratislava-Prague: 2x daily B737-700 service starting on October 28 Kosice-Dublin: 3x weekly B737-700 service starting on October 30 Kosice-Prague: daily B737-700 service starting on October 28 Vienna-Copenhagen: 4x weekly B737-700 service starting on October 28 Vienna-Timisoara: 4x weekly B737-700 service starting on October 28 Besides all routes from Budapest and Krakow it will also give up its routes from Bratislava to Amsterdam, Barcelona, Basle/Mulhouse and Copenhagen, from Bucharest Baneasa to Rome Fiumicino, from Prague to Barcelona and from Warsaw to Paris Orly. SkyEurope Airlines Hungary (5P/Budapest) has retired its last B737-300 and will stop operations and transfer its single B737-700 to its parent by the end of October.
