SkyEurope Airlines (Bratislava) is still continuing operations even though several lessors have repossessed all but four of its B737-700s. In addition, it has now wet-leased a MD-83 from MAP Jet (MPJ/Vienna), two B737-300s from Air Slovakia (GM/Bratislava), two B737-300s from Bulgaria Air (FB/Sofia) and a Fokker 100 from Trade Air (8P/Zagreb) to continue operations with a limited schedule. It is now planning to dry lease up to six ex-flyLAL B737-300s and B737-500s to transfer some flights back from wet-leased equipment to own aircraft. Potential Greek investor SAPO has pulled out of a joint venture with Portuguese investment group Longstock and it is unclear if Longstock will still be able to pursue an investment in SkyEurope without its Greek partner. SkyEurope has given up its Vienna-Copenhagen Kastrup route and will not resume its seasonal services to Rimini and Trieste this summer season.
