Wizz Air (W6, Budapest) has won a four-year Hungarian government contract for the provision of Public Service Obligation (PSO) flights between Budapest and the capitals of several West Balkan states.

The LCC said in a statement that flights to Skopje in Macedonia, Podgorica in Montenegro, Tirana in Albania, Pristina in Kosovo, and Sarajevo in Bosnia & Herzegovina will commence in April 2017.

In its tender issued earlier this year, the Hungarian government said the flights would help improve regional connectivity while boosting trade and business ties between Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
