Nepal Airlines (RA, Kathmandu) has garnered good interest in the sale of one of its two B757-200 aircraft, attracting seven bids, reports The Himalayan Times. Bids have been received from one US company and one Israeli company, as well as from three domestic companies and two Nepali individuals.

The minimum asking price for the 30-year old aircraft 9N-ACA (msn 23850) is USD1.71 million.

"A special team of NAC will start the evaluation process of all these applications from Sunday. The final results will be announced very soon," said Rabindra Shrestha, a Nepal Airlines spokesperson.

A previous attempt to sell the aircraft earlier this year ended in disappointment when it failed to attract any interest, but the airline refused to budge on the minimum sale price.

Nepal Airlines is awaiting the delivery or two A330-200s due 2Q18 to replace the aged Boeings.
