Silverstone Air Services (Nairobi Wilson) has expanded its fleet with the recent addition of a first Dash 8-300. According to Skyliner Aviation, 2-ELIX (msn 234) was ferried from Muskoka to Kenya via Goose Bay, Reykjavik Keflavik, Glasgow Prestwick, Luxembourg, Kerkyra, and Sharm el Sheikh earlier this month.
Formerly in service with Piedmont Airlines (PT, Salisbury, MD) as N326EN, the 28-year-old turboprop joins the rest of the Kenyan carrier's fleet of two Dash 8-100s, one CRJ(F), two Fokker 50s, and one E120 (on wet-lease from Reliance Air Charters) in use on scheduled passenger flights throughout Kenya as well as air charters, evacuations, logistical aid, and business trips.
