Boeing (BOE, Washington National) has reportedly secured a firm order from an undisclosed customer for twenty B737 MAX, consisting of ten B737-7s and ten B737-10s, the AFP has reported.

Placed during the Dubai Airshow 2019, the order is expected to be formally announced at a later date in the customer's home country.

The purchase follows a firm order for ten incremental B737-8s from SunExpress (XQ, Antalya) and a non-binding commitment to add thirty such jets from Air Astana (KC, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev), also announced during the Dubai Airshow.

While the total number of B737 MAX commitments at the show trailed behind those for the A320neo Family, it was still a significant development for Boeing, which has struggled to secure new orders for the type since it was grounded in March this year.
