Air Algérie (AH, Algiers) will start regular flights to the northern Algerian towns of Bou Saada, Tiaret, El Bayadh, and Mechria later this summer, ch-aviation schedule analysis has revealed.

The Algerian flag carrier will serve Boussada 2x weekly from Algiers as an intermediate point on its existing flights to Laghouat and Touggourt (weekly each). Direct services from the capital to Tiaret will operate 2x weekly while flights to El Bayadh and Mechria will operate 1x weekly each from Oran Ahmed Ben Bella.

All of the routes will launch on March 29, 2020, and will operate using ATR72 turboprops.

The expansion comes shortly after President Abdelamdjid Tebboune called on Air Algérie to increase connectivity to secondary cities across the country.

Following the addition of the four new destinations, Air Algérie's domestic network will expand to 34 cities, including hub airports at Algiers, Oran, and Constantine.
