Ryanair (FR, Dublin International) has announced it will open its fourth French base, at Paris Beauvais, on December 3, 2020, stationing two B737-800s out of the airport.

The Irish LCC plans to launch two new routes from the Parisian airfield following the opening of the base - to Paphos and Manchester International - on top of the 30 already operated albeit with aircraft based at other airports.

Ryanair was the first airline to launch scheduled flights out of Beauvais in 1997. It will be the first airline to establish a crew base at the airport, an LCC-oriented airport located around 100 kilometres north of downtown Paris. Despite not having a base at the airport, the Irish LCC is already Beauvais's largest operator with 12,654 weekly seats and a 51.3% market share by capacity, the ch-aviation capacities module shows. The second-largest airline at the airport is Wizz Air with a 35.2% market share by capacity.

The Beauvais base will be Ryanair's first new base since the COVID-19 pandemic started.
