Arik Air (W3, Lagos) plans to start operating the two A340-500s on its own air operator certificate that it had wet-leased from Hi Fly (5K, Beja) since 2008. The two aircraft are currently used on its long-haul routes from Lagos to London Heathrow and New York JFK.
